So, in this episode, who has a similar trait to Gashita which was shown in this episode? Fitbitan. He is another proud Adventurist that dislikes Dariel and judges him based on Dariel's current rank while showing incompetence and negligence. In the next episodes preview, I noticed a small glimpse of Fitbitan blushing and it dawned on me that Fitbitan, who is similar to Gashita, could also potentially do a complete 180 and find some form of respect and admiration to Dariel, basing it on Dariel's pattern of influence towards people/Demon at this point. Now, I will admit that this is not correct since I'm just foreshadowing and making a hypothesis right now. I'm just saying this to not rule out any impossibilities.

the anime solutions isn't too far off the mark. its a bit more exaggerated but almost in all wars and conflicts of various scales, certain trades occur. the difference is probably how public that knowledge is. i bet if we got a closer look into the politics of this anime, the human side would not advertise they were making trades with the enemy to the public. same for the demon side. they will twist the events in their favor to save face. after all, people like that old adventurer exist who likely hold grudges over past incidents and wont out right accept peace just because it would reduce lives lost. those people much prefer eradication of the enemy to avoid future wars.
